Virus-filtering

Virus-filtering is probably the least complicated part of Spamchek, although by no means the least critical. For virus-filtering we rely on an external provider, ClamAV.

ClamAV is an open-source virus-scanner, fully comparable with commercial scanners. It is available for a variety of platforms and comes a very comprehensive set of features.

Our local ClamAV databases are continually synchronised with the central ClamAV database, such that we're always able to avert the latest threats. See the current virus status-report.
